The 5.4R is a very versatile coach boat, a relatively small hull that can afford almost every sailing condition. Designed to reduce weight and dimensions of the 5.8R in order to have a rib still suitable for coaching in rough weather but more manageable. The triangular hull shape had been chosen in order to grant safety and comfort also in the toughest conditions. The range of suitable engines is 40 to 60 Hp, with the best compromise obtained with 50Hp.

With enough room onboard for fitting a tow post or one extra storage boxes, this rib is a good compromise for people who needs to travel. Customizability is available and represent quite a difference when compared to the F-10. The triangular shape with maximum beam at the foremost aft grants a good carrying capacity. A big fuel tank into the double bottom keeps the center of gravity low and deck free, so you can easily store sails and stuff of your sailors. For sailing clubs and individual coaches who wants a product tailored on their needing, this could be the right boat to look at.
Small brother of 5.8R, the 5.4 inherits many of its characteristics. Safe and comfortable riding in any weather conditions, the 5.4 sports a lighter weight that makes it easier to be carried around. A rib suitable for all dinghies coaching, and fully customizable.
The question most manufacturers ask themselves when considering a new feature is whether it is necessary to include it in order to sell the boat. In the case of the VSR, we ask only whether its inclusion will make the boat safer, better or more convenient. That is why we have introduced literally hundreds or refinements since we started construction in 2004 and why we continue the process today. For that reason VSR ribs reserves the right to make changes to Specifications and equipment without notice.
